Panel Judicial of Enquiry Probes Intra Communal crisis in Ikwo
Following the effort of Ebonyi State Governor,Engr.David Umahi to establish peace in all parts of the state, the panel Judicial of enquiry,led by Justice Eze Udu, yesterday summoned stakeholders of Amagu autonomous community in Ikwo LGA over Alleged intra communal crisis in the area.
The panel having heard from Comrade Chinedu Ogah, who was accused to had masterminded the rift in their different sittings has invited the following persons to appear before them on Thursday 12th September to defend some issues linked to their names, among:
1.Amb. Franklin Nchita Ogbuewu
2.Chief Barr. Okeagu Ogada (Ogele 1).
3.Hon.Igberi Nome
4.Hon.Titus Itapa Nkoshi
5.Dr.Itumo
6.Hon.Festus Ukoha
Speaking,Barr. Robert Onu Ude, Standing-in for Secretary of the panel called those whose names were mentioned to hearken to their call so as to contribute to the first resolution of the issue in controversy .
A member of the panel,Ezeogo, Ewa Elechi, advised the invitees to honour the call to enable the constituted body bring resolution to the long lasted crisis in the area, adding that governor Umahi's led administration would never relent in ensuring peace was restored in all parts of the state.
However, Comrade Ogah, blamed the rift on some political leaders from the area who have been extorting the villagers and causing indifferences in the community, stressing that those accusing him who has been absconding from the panel are the engineer of the said imbriglio.
Comrade Ogah, also blamed the rift on some politicians from the area who are fighting to remain in the political front and are fighting to ensure nobody outside their lineage gain political position and had caused developmental backwardness in Ikwo clan.
On alleged attack on the vice chairman, Comrade Ogah told the court that the beating was as intra party crisis among People Democratic Party leaders in the community where he alleged they have division among the leaders.
Recall that Comrade Ogah has appeared before the panel in two different occasions while the petitioners absconded from the hearing.
Current News24 learnt that the petitioners abscence was allegedly linked to the case of their group member who was arrested by men of Nigeria Police Force at the venue of the sitting last week after the end of the hearing, therefore, entertaining fear of further arrest of members.
Also learnt from the panel was that the arrest has no connection with the case in the court
