Party Primaries: Group protests, accuses Anyim of plan to destroy PDP in Ebonyi

By Alo David, Abakaliki Concern political pressure group, Ebonyi Mandate, have raised alarm calling on national and state leadership of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to rescue the party from imminent collapse in Ebonyi State. They urged the party leaders in the State to bury their hatchets, conduct primaries and move the party forward. A statement signed by the group’s leader, Mr. Uzor’oma Gabriel N. reads: “The unnecessary crisis rocking PDP Ebonyi state because of power play has now reached a point of no return as today seems like their last chance to hold any primary election, as per notices sent to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), for that purpose. Party Primaries: Ebonyi APC Chairman Pledges Fair, Credible Election

By Ignatius Soroibe, Abakaliki The ruling All progressives Congress, (APC) Ebonyi State Chairman who doubles as Security Consultant to the Ebonyi state government, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha on Wednesday said that his party has put everything in order to ensure a successful and hitch free primaries in the state. Chief Emegha made this known while briefing Newsmen in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital. The State party chairman noted that all the necessary arrangements have been put in place as to ensure that the party witness hitch free exercise. He assured party faithfuls of all level playing ground for contestants in all stages of the election. Recall that the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Barr Felix Morka recently published a revised timetable for the activities of the exercise.
