Enyigba/Enyibuchiri Crisis:CAN, Ebonyi Govt Give Mass Burial to Victims

By Nwogha Ndubuisi Andy and Elem Onyinye, Abakaliki  Over twenty war victims from Enyigba autonomous community in Abakaliki Council Area and Enyibuchiri Community ,Ikwo Local Government Area, both in Ebonyi State were on Thursday 19 December,2019 given mass burial by the state chapter Christian Association of Nigeria,CAN,and Ebonyi State government. The burial Service were simultaneously celebrated at the two local government council headquarters of Nkaliki, for Abakaliki and Onuebonyi Echara,for Ikwo Council Areas, as organized by Ebonyi State Chapter,Christian Association of Nigeria through the support of the State Government, to  pay last honour to the war victims and assured bereaved families of their support. Man Slaughters Own 2 Children,One other Hospitalized

By Nwogha Ndubuisi Andy, Abakaliki A middle  aged man whose name was given as Chinasa Ogbaga, a native of Egwuagu in Okpuitumo Community, Abakaliki LGA, Ebonyi State yesterday butchered his two children and left one half dead. Current News gathered that the incident happened on late hour of Saturday night when the alleged killer (Mr.Chinasa) after they returned from farm with his mother was seen sharpening their cuttlass, an action that attracted his younger sister who enquired what he was doing with it but, he told her that he was going for frog hunting. It was learnt that the mother bluntly disapproved his going out for hunting, but he scolded the mother to stay aside his wish which put fear into her mind and to avoid be beaten by Mr. Chinasa, left the compound to sleep in her elder brother's house due to the suspected unsual behavior. --Monarch Calls for Prosecution of the Pepetrators By Nwogha Ndubuisi Andy A-17-year old student, late Ojoko Friday of Noble Secondary School Ndiechi Igbeagu Community, Izzi LGA and a native of Ndinwampfu village of same community on Saturday evening was murdered on cold blood by suspected Ukelle warlord while coming back from their farm. Our reporter who visited the village was told by the village Chairman,Mr. John Ede that on the faithful evening that late Friday was coming back from farm with his parents and siblings but unknown to them that some suspected Ukelle warlords had laid ambush with the plan to capture them alive but luckily, they escaped when they attacked them, except the late Friday who they apprehended and beheaded him.
