Development: SA Media Begins Project Tour, Says It is For Monthly Documentation, Records Purpose.

THE Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, Hon. Francis Nwaze commenced a tour to some of the many sites where projects are going on in the State.

The visit which began today November, 2, 2019, kicked off from the Offia Nwali Flyover, Abakaliki, to Waste Pulveriser Plant, Umuoghara, Ezza North Council Areas of the State to several road projects at the hinterlands of Ebonyi North LGA and climaxed at the Ecumenical Centre, Abakaliki.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after the event, Hon Nwaze said the need to get a comprehensive record, Media and update of the present state of projects in the State informed the tour, adding that "we must get regular updates so that people will know the speed of transformation going on in Ebonyi by Governor Umahi.

"This is the waste to wealth plant, it is expected that upon completion, it will provide over 3,000 direct jobs and over 4,000 indirect jobs to the people, you can see the project is almost completed.

"Here is the Ecumenical Centre, you can see it is almost ready.

"You can equally see why Ebonyi is always talked about as a state with the best road network in the entire Southern Nigeria.

"You are seeing it yourself.
"All the projects are going on simultaneously across the 13 Council Areas of the State.

"No LGA is left out, all the projects are going on in all the 13 LGAs of the State".

He said the excercise is a monthly event where all the media establishment will embark on a tour to all the projects sites in the State.

"We will be embarking on a joint media tour of all the project sites in the State.

"We want the whole world to see what our workaholic Governor Umahi is doing in Ebonyi State. We want them to know that Ebonyi has moved beyond yesterday.

" Let them come and invest in Ebonyi State as it is safe, secured and assured.

"Selected media organisations across the country and online media professionals will be integrated into the monthly media coverage team", the governor's aide further stated.
