Xmas Celebration: Ebonyi Govt Donates 21Million, Over 400 Bags of Rice To Staff Of Tertiary Institutions

The Ebonyi State Goverment has donated a total amount of N21million and over 4,000 bags of rice as 2021 Christmas gifts to the staff of tertiary institutions in the state. The Special Assistant to the Governor on Inter-Party and Labour Matters, Comr. (Mrs.) Jennifer Onyekachi Adibe-nwafor who presented the items to the managements of the institutions on behalf of the Governor, said that the governor has sent the items to the workers to help in making their Christmas a joyous one.
Mrs Adibe-Nwafor noted that the gesture has become an annual event under Gov. Umahi which is designed by the governor to assist the workers as prices of commodities usually skyrocket during this period. She added that Gov. Umahi has shown uncommon love towards Ebonyi workers and advised the workers to be supportive of His Excellency's administration.
Mrs Adibe-Nwafor lauded the developmental strides of Engr Umahi in the institutions she visited, and specifically described the KingDavid University of Medical Sciences, Uburu as unique and the best of its kind she has ever seen In their respective responses, the Vice Chancellors of Ebonyi State University, Prof Chigozie Ogbu, Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Prof. Sunday Elom and King David Nweze Umahi University of Medical Science and technology, Uburu, Prof J. C. Uneke; the Provosts of Ebonyi State College of Education Ikwo, Prof. B.C. Mbam, Federal College of Agriculture, Ishiagu, Dr. Mike Okoronkwo, Ebonyi State School of Health, Ezzamgbo, Dr Nwamkpuma and the Rector of Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnics, Uwana, Venerable Ibe-Enwo extolled Gov Umahi for his friendly dispositions towards the workers in Ebonyi State which he extends to federal civil servants.
They thanked His Excellency for gifts and commended the governor for his quality leadership in the state and promised to remain supportive of the state government. The schools visited include the Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki, Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, KingDavid University of Medical Science and Tech., Uburu and Ebonyi State College of Education Ikwo.
Others include, the Federal College of Agriculture, Ishiagu, Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnics, Uwana and Ebonyi State School of Health, Ezzamgbo.

This comes at a meeting held to inaugurate the State Executives who would champion the course of the party in Abakaliki the State capital on Sunday.
