David Umahi, on Thursday,14th October,2021 flagged off the Nwezenyi-Nwofe section of the Abakaliki ring road project. The official flag-off ceremony took place at Nwezenyi junction, Igbeagu-Izzi and Ogbala in Ebonyi Council Areas respectively. A former Media Aide to Governor Dave Umahi, Godffery Chikwere, is currently battling for life at the Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital Abakaliki(AE-FUTHA) after he reportedly fell sick at the police headquarters, Abakaliki where he was being detained. He was said to be undergoing treatment at the state police clinic, police headquarters Abakaliki but reportedly not responding well to the treatment leading to his transfer to the Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital Abakaliki(AE-FUTHA) where he is currently hospitalized. It was gathered that security personnel including members of Ebubeagu Security Network stormed the new building material in the early hours of Wednesday, October 6, 2021 and sealed up the site preventing traders and buyers from accessing their stores.
